Okay lets get real y’all. Unless you are Kimmy K you most likely don’t have an entire island dedicated to jewelry + accessories. Us mere mortals have to get creative when it comes to organizing our collections, no matter how big or small. One thing I have learned over the years as a college student is to learn the art of displaying. I cannot stress enough how much easier your life will be. When I’m searching for jewelry stands, boxes, or holders I try to find items that are neutral + stylish. As you can see above I have displayed my necklaces on gold jewelry stands. On the left, I found a vintage stand from the 1930’s at an antique store. I decided to use this for my longer + heavier necklaces. The stand on the right was found at TJ Maxx. There is no need to spend big bucks on organization pieces, save that for the jewelry! 🙂
Bracelets, next to earrings, have always been the most difficult of items for me to figure out how to organize. So when I ran across this jewelry stand (with three rolls for bracelets) I couldn’t pass it up. I placed this stand on my bookshelf. REMEMBER: Bookshelves are NOT just for books. I have found that jewelry shouldn’t just be placed in your closet. You bought it to be seen + worn, right? What better way to remember each piece in your collection then to see it daily.
Lastly, invest in a pretty jewelry box. Not only can you easily display it, but it will keep your “nice” jewelry safe and hidden away. My grandmother bought me this beautiful mirrored box as a birthday gift a few years ago. I can easily say it has become one of my favorite pieces to display. I chose to display this funky hand on top of the box to display my rings. This sculpture is not only chic, but functional. Who doesn’t love that?!
