Nude has been a trend everyone + their mother has embraced this year. To be honest I tend to stay away from nudes due to my complexion. It literally will make me look, well… nude. Due to the fact it is winter + my skin no longer is sun kissed. I decided to take this nude trend head on.Wearing: Forever 21 Bodysuit ($15) | White Mohair Sweater ($20) | Gorjana Lariat Necklace ($75) | J. Crew Flare Jeans ($100) | Vintage Leopard Pony Hair Belt | Rebecca Minkoff Osterich Wallet on a Chain ($145) | Bandolino Pointed Toe Kitten Heel ($75)
I decided to start the look with a nude, ribbed, tank-style bodysuit from Forever 21. Since the weather is much cooler I paired this with an on-trend Mohair Sweater that can zip open to be worn as a cardigan as well. I love dual purposes pieces. Lastly, I opted for my of so comfy dark wash, mid-rise, flare leg J. Crew Jeans. (What a mouth full!)
When it came time to accessorize I steered away from my usual urge for statement pieces. I chose to keep everything within the look in the nude/gold range. Let me just go head and say that leopard +/or cheat print is. my. favorite. Not only do I consider it a neutral, but it is sassy. (Everyone needs a touch of sass!)
For my jewelry I chose a gold lariat necklace, and let the pendant hang within the bodysuit for a body-chain look. For my bag I chose a gold + cream ostrich wallet on a chain bag from a few seasons back. I love pairing flare-leg jeans with pointed heels. I find the combination to be very slimming. So for my shoes I chose a pair of gold, pointed toe, kitten heels by Bandolino. Shop a similar look below!
